Character art for my character Sophia St. James on the Menagerie forums.
I tried a new twist on the technique that I used for my golden tabby tiger with this one, using a mixture of photographs underneath to trace the line art and source the colors. After getting the base colors I used the photos to get a better idea of shadow placement, added in shadows and variations in color, used the smudge tool to blend it all together and then deleted the photos underneath to produce the final image.
