A drawing of my character James Colt on The Menagerie, a Golden Tabby Tiger shifter, in a Santa hat.
This was drawn in a similar style to Sophia, but was a lot harder, because of stripes. Well, not just stripes, there was a lot of color variation over the body, but the stripes were the most fiddly part.
Again I used a photo for the lines (one day I'll be able to draw my own tiger, one day) and sampled some of the colors before deleting it and coloring the coat block by block. When I had finished that it looked more like a stained glass window than a tiger, but after an awfully long time spent with my new best friend, the smudge tool, I was able to make it look like a tiger again.
